This existing koi pond was extensively renovated. Fish remained in the pond while the new bog and cascading waterfall was created as well as the new concrete collar to support the new flagstone edging and pond verticle edges. Two concrete pits were build to accomodate the two external pond pumps which could be operated independently. A large biofilter (bog) was built and features a bottom drain for flushing the bog if required. Two skimmers were installed as well as a UV light system to clarify the water. No riverstone was used inside this 4 ft deep vertical side pond. Fish were removed and kept in large fish stock ponds while the pond was excavated and the new liner and rocks were installed.
